Same thing happened to me, but she waited until we were packing before she decided to make us her host. She jumped into my car 3 times until we let her stay, she did not have the pregnant belly yet. She is super small but still was able to cram in 6 babies, had to bottle them since she was too small to feed them

clowills89 19d ago Found this little dude camping in 2017! He was VERY spicy and angry that I trapped him in a box to bring him home, but 7 years later he's enjoying being an indoor cat.

. experfailist 19d ago The cat distribution system is a perfectly oiled machine.

vikio 19d ago He's cute and all, but you left your tent unzipped?!? You're lucky you came back to a cat and not a rat, three spiders, and 50 mosquitoes...

evilbau5 19d ago Oh man, every day I fear my cat getting out and lost and accidentally becoming adopted by someone else. He's just too nice like how you described this guy.

NewHere1212 · 19d ago • Aww. Poor baby must be lost. Did you take her to a vet to check for a chip? Please adopt her if she doesn't already have a home.

kee442 19d ago Thanks for providing the wee child with a cozy place to sleep.

Round_View_1844 .19d ago He could be the, or oneof the "campground cats,"used to living semi outside & circulating freely; could be one that was lost or dumped but now happily lives there, could be part of a colony so definitely check with the Ranger/campground managers. If you try to rehome an outside cat, they have to be kept indoors
  • 21
have to be kept indoors confined to the new spot for a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks or they will try to navigate back to the old place, even across freeways and in the path of predators. You can't just plunk them down in a new backyard and expect them to stay put.

Insane CrainHangs •19d ago Well it's definitely not bear shaped, but all my years camping and backpacking that's the oddest looking raccoon I've ever seen...

defireofdeath · 19d ago He looks really healthy and comfortable around humans, someone might have lost or abandoned him please take him to a vet to get microchip scanned! If there's no microchip then you were simply chosen from the cat distribution system and enjoy your new unplanned son

sowhat4 20d ago ⋅ There is no divide between rural, urban, and wilderness in the CDS. (Cat Distribution System) If you have no cat (or too few), one or more will be issued to you.
